Shirley M. Bittner, 96, of Harrisburg passed away January 8, 2018 at UPMC Pinnacle Hospital in Harrisburg.
Born on October 24, 1921 she was a daughter of the late Ambrose and Alverta (Levan) Raup. She attended Catawissa area schools. She worked at Berwick Knitwear and retired after many years. Shirley was a member of Glad Tidings Assembly of God in Bloomsburg. In her spare time, she enjoyed crocheting.
She will be greatly missed by her children: Doris Briggs and husband Ronald, Harrisburg; Donna Clark, Harrisburg; David Bittner and wife Gloria, Bloomsburg; 7 grandchildren; 12 great grand-children; 6 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth W. Bittner on December 13, 2005; 4 sisters and 1 brother.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on January 16, 2018 at Glad Tidings Assembly of God, 706 Central Rd, Bloomsburg, PA 17815. Interment will follow in Mifflinville Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until time of service.
